Talapothichil

Thalapothichil is a Malayalam word, where “thala” means head and “pothichil” means covering. As the name implies, this procedure involves covering the head with herbal paste. This time honored therapy has its mother roots in Kerala. Thalapothichil is one of the traditional treatments in Kerala which has excellent benefits and tremendous acceptance.

What to expect?

The process begins with a traditional head massage with suitable oil. The custom-made herbal paste is then applied over the head and then the head is covered with a toasted banana leaf. It is then kept for a specific time. The entire procedure takes 75 minutes to complete.
